Does anyone subscribe to this, if so what is thier review ?

How would you compare it to the flow and glassline ?

I get both The Flow and Glassline and due to international subscription rates these cost me over $100 a year. Thats pricey, but I feel they are justifiable, especially since they are my main learning source, since I am all alone.

I am interested in Profitable Glass Quarterly, but only if it has valuable information and/or tutorials and there is not cross over with The Flow or Glassline.

They have back issues going to 1999, so they have been around a while, I did a search on here before posting this, figuring someone would have talked about this magazine by now, but no one has.

I was just thinking of this as I am now a subscriber but have not received a issue yet being that its quarterly although I am trying to buy most recent back issue for some new glass reads. I will be watching this thread as I am curios as to what its all about too!

I read one issue and liked it, but I prefer more flameworking centric stuff like The Flow and Glassline.

ProfitableGC as I understand it, is the parent company of The Flow now so if youre thinking demos and how tos Id stick with The Flow, if you need a sounding board for marketing or just glass info in general Go with PGC...

No demos or tuts but lots of what's happening in the business world of glass. Definitely worth reading but doesn't sound like what your looking for. Maybe you could ask the public library to stock them for you?

PGQ is a great magazine about the glass industry, but it is not a flameworking magazine. There are occasionally tutortials that might be useful, but not regularly. News about SOFA, news about ags, agg, isgb, igga, other industry news. Articles about increasing sales, about teaching, about running a sucessful business. Artist bios. I subscribe, but I am a glass junky. If you want to learn lampwork, pass on this one. If you just love the art glass industry, subscribe.

THanks, but it costs quite a bit to send stuff to Australia.... maybe I'll take you up on it later when I have some excess cash.
