Since I posted in KGDs thread about torches, I have gotten 10 PMs from interested individuals. So, I would like to see this torch go to someone who will use it. It has been collecting dust sitting on a shelf for almost 3 years.

I bought it brand new in 2000. I am the only owner, and it has been taken care of by GTT twice since I purchased it. I have made THOUSANDS of art pieces with it, countless scientific repairs and apparatus and many many pipes.

It was last seen by GTT in spring of 2005 and I have the original reciepts from the purchase and cleanings. There are NO clogged ports and the flame is tight and even.

So, here is it: $1500 OBO with FREE USPS Shipping, insurance and DC#. Cash takes priority, but my daughter would like a Lynx. so we would consider decent trades. We are Located in Southern Wisconsin. If any other pics are desired, or you have any questions please ask and we would be glad to help.

By the way, that nasty looking bench belongs to my son and his friend, mine is much, much cleaner and organized. I hate that pile of frit sitting on a graphite plate. Thanks for the comment Jodie.

We are located in Platteville, Wisconsin and yes my soulmate and our 2 children both blow glass (15 yr old Daughter, 16 yr old son) and my father has been a scientific lampworker for over 35 years and I have been melting glass on a torch since I was 16 and I am now 38. I have an 2 year Scientific Glass Technology degree from Salem CC. My childre and 3 of their friends lampwork at least 3 days a week after school, so we are a glass melting family and enjoy every moment of it.

This may sound rediculous but I've been in the market for a mirage for a while and I live in MN. Unfortunately, I'm temporarly living in Washington for another month or so. (I still have my house in MN if this is sounding sketch to you!) PM me if there's any way you'd take a downpayment via check and I can get you the cash when I'm back in the state and of course you can hold on to the torch till I get back.

As much as im interested in the mirage...I'm in dire need of a kiln first. Not to mention the bills are starting to collect. But i wouldnt mind stopping down there, maybe even perhaps learning a bit from ya. I drill in monroe once a month...Not too far to stop on over there

Hey, I'm over in dubuque! But I just bought a phantom a couple weeks ago so I don't think I need another torch just yet.

Sorry, fowl monkey, no foot pedal is possible with this torch unless you had it modded by GTT to a 4 post...

But, I have never used foot pedals... I actually like to leave the main oxy on my outer fire on almost constantly, but I am on liquid O2. That way I can just flick the outer propane on and my fire is ready to go. Leaving the main oxy on really helps work solid unencased cadmium and silver based colors when using just the center fire.

I like to do this same thing with a footpedal. All it takes is a bypass and you're set.

Yeah Kool, I have a pedal for the Kobuki and it has a oxy bypass feature for that very reason... I am still having trouble getting used to it after all these years never using one.

Throw that in with the third stage and that is a lot to get used to all at once.

I feel sooooo sorry for you :)

lol... Thanks guys.

So, Halloween is my Daughters 16th birthday, and I would like to sell this torch before then so I can get her a cheap car.

SO. $1450 OBO. She would also like a lynx, so we would gladly do $1000 and a Lynx or $400 and a Phantom.

Thanks for all the inquiries! Didn't realize this torch is sooo desired.

I have had a few people ask for a photo of the face. Here they are, one with flash, and one without. I can 100% guarantee this torch has never seen a bad flame or had a clogged port at all... I know the photos are not the best, but my camera isnt the best either.

AND if someone wants it and can get me a money order or cashiers check or pick it up in Platteville, WI with cash in hand I will sell for $1400. OR I will ship anywhere in the US for Free with Priority USPS and insurance with DC#/ Tracking Number, If I recieve payment by 10/28/08. Again for $1400.

I would also be willing to trade for a lynx and $1000 and we would accept reasonable payments on the money.

Thanks GLDG,
Dan.

P.S. My son has been making glass eyeballs all day on the torch and he says it runs like melted butter.

try moving about 4-6 inches away from the face, and your camera should focus in better, Also if theres a button with a little flower on it, thats the MACRO shot, should help as well...

im assuming your not interested in my deal?
hit me back
thanks
