maybe this is in the wrong place but since this seemed to be a theme at this past years AGI, I figured I'd post it here. It may be common sense to some, but maybe somebody even newbier (not a real word) than me can benefit.

Right before I left for AGI I started putting clear over my colors before I pulled stringers for I/O work. Protects the color and I like the effect when you fume behind it...adds a sort of extra layer of depth.

Then I figured I'd just drop them down a tube melt it back and pull my stringers that way. I probably pulled 5 colors the day before I left. just to have some prep work to come back to. (worked out great cause I came back from AGI all inspired and ready to work)

Well when I came back I decided it was kind of a waste to use up tubes this way...stuff that could be used for blowpipes..downstems...etc. Thats when I looked at my trash bucket overflowing with points...PERFECT now I take all my scrap points close of one end drop in color melt it back and pull some nice clear coated stringers...

Sorry this was such a long, ridiculous, and borderline useless post....but in short one more use and vote for pulling points....

Also my lady friend and I have begun saving as soon as our wine bottle has $1200 in it u can expect a call from me Mr. Wonka...

what are you stuffing in a wine bottle for it to reach 1200$?

point handles have a few other good uses. i make 5-20$ from each decent sized point handle =)

I tried coating color that way, but i got to many airbubbles . Then I got a gtt and im not coating any of my colors anymore and there not boiling. I use my points up all the time, I have been making mini sidecars with them this past week. I've been selling them for about $7 some for $5 anyway dont throw it in the trash if it will make money!

FOR SALE!!!!! hundreds of points..... cheap! you pay shipping. can meet specified orders and great customer service. my opinion is its a waste of time to coat your colors in clear. ( unless your looking for a certain effect.) but i hate how crayon colors look encased in clear and with fume behind them.
