Try Litton they have really, really good prices on Simax, most people don't realize they sell glass as well as lathes and their prices are better than most distributors.

I got a schott tube 6 months ago that had almost a 1/4 inch bend in a 2.5 foot length. .... I buy it by the case and I was quite disturbed about that fact. I still think it ages a little slower than simax... I am really mean to glass when I work it................................................ ........................

It was ....not.... the schott artistic either....................... It was the real $6.00 a pound stuff..

what a bummer, i understand the price is a lil better, and for cheap prodo i find it to be a great product. IMO thoungh i find a better starting product produces a better finished product. I think simax is at the top of the list along with schott duran...... but you also pay for it. I have used Kimax since i started and still prefer it over the other brands, its also still made in america. I say work with what you can afford, understand that the cheaper stuff is going to have things you dont like compared to the more expensive brands.

Petto is right, AGH (http://www.artglasshouse.com/) usually has it in stock. Are you a distr? Glasscraft (http://www.glasscraftinc.com/product/product_list.cfm) has a better price if you are in the buyers club. They stock both Simax and Pyrex. And there is always Macalister Bicknell Co. (http://www.macbicnj.com), they stock Pyrex and usually have a better price on it than either Kimax or Simax.
