I would like to encourage folks out there to start taking the extra effort to comment and compliment whenever possible. I see an artist check out another artists work. They have a reaction like "that's f-ing awesome" or "dude, you gotta see this" but don't take a moment and give props where props are due. It only takes a second to type... nice works, or fuck ya, or inspirational, etc. All of which have the ability to speak volumes to a fellow gaffer (front line soldier). So to all of you out there keepin an eye on what's goin on. Lets start biggin up one another on a regular. It feels good. Peace.

I personally think there are lots of high fives on threads. Matter of factly too many. One thing frustrating about artistic forum that there is not enough constructive cristism. Everybody has opinions but when it comes to letting them hang out one someone posts work they don't say a word, probably out of fear of sparing feelings.
Unfortunatly most of all here aren't making artwork to hang on a refridge but to sell to the general public. I for one , would love to hear peoples point of views on my work when I put it up without them being afraid of me being hurt or pissed off.

I think there is a lot of positive feedback on this forum, as well as a lot of constructive criticism. There are also a few posts that are just plain rude that people should keep to themselves, but choose not too. My guess these folks just like drama, so I try to ignore them altogether.

P.S.
This thread reminds me of one of my favorite bands...
"Say something, say something, anything
Your silence is deafening
Pay me in kind"
James - Say Something

Jay, while your shaping sucks balls, you really got that corn technique down pat. Oh and everything looks nice and melted in. Another word of advice though, brown is one tough color to sell.

personally, i find the corn placement to be all wrong. I feel that the corn throws off the whole structure, perhaps another piece is needed for the overall balance? in general, the work makes a profound socio-political statement, but the corn is all wrong. my $.02

Firstly, I go to so many boards gleaning info and knowledge that my mind is usually boggled.
Secondly, I don't have a fuckin clue what you dudes are saying usually. lol. Totally different lingo boys and girls, but hey look at the pretty pictures. lol
Thirdly, some of you actually scare the shit out of me. Honest.
Fourthly, I'm very new in the boro world, don't have a damn clue what I'm doing, self taught, having a blast, and still don't' know what a reversal is. Can't comment on what I don't know.
Fifthly, yep there is a fifthly, I'm a soon to be middle aged broad with grandbabies and don't really fit here.
So there ya have it.
You asked.........................:D
Oh by the way. I love most of your work, I'm not into the big ole pipes, although they are beautiful, can't string that sucker on a chain though.

Everything looks well melted in. With a nice spiral and solid color scheme, I bet you really enjoy smokin outta this with all your closest cousins.
