View Full Version : MUPH work thread
I finally decided to start a work thread. I wont get that much time on the torch this semester so I wont update too often.
The 1st pic is a hollow apple sculpture I just finished two days ago. Maybe a little bigger than an actual red apple
2nd pic is my first reversal into a pendant. Almost 2 inches in diameter
Nice apple how do you do your pendants rod or tube!
Pendant came off a GA tailor made tube. I think the color was rainbow. The tube is pretty amazing stuff. You can keep it 3D like that or your can blow it out then condense again for the 2D look.

Nice reversals Ben! That bub looks tight, why don't you move past prodo and just do heady shit? You've got the skills! Yeah, it's a bitch asking more for a single piece, but it's more fulfilling too - to make and to sell. And people will pay for quality art that's as pretty as that bub!
The apple was cool - till I read further down and found you saying the carb was at the bottom. I took a second look, and:bounce it blew my mind... gonna rep ya for that, wish there was more pics so I could figure it out.

good work. I like the apple. The handle on the sherlock looks pretty cool, very interesting shaping.
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I'm almost done with school so then i'll have a lot more time to work on nicer pipes. I quit my part-time job so I've gotta keep the money flowin with prodo. I'll grab some pics this afternoon of this month's haul

really nice work Ben! Way cool :)
Here's a picture of those prodo blues, time for a paycheck.
I showed that sherlock to one of my friends and he wanted a hammer with the same colors so I grabbed a quick photo of that before it was out the door

I really enjoy the electroformed pendents. Does it cost a lot to get into electro formed work? I think it's really neat and with all the chemicals I have laying around, I'm sure I could come up with something different.

Nice work Ben - I'm loving those firey colors and your pile o' prodo is truly impressive - congrats on finding a home for it! :kickflip:
I've got my own set-up, you can find starter kits but they will only get you 3-4 pendants before you need to get more supplies
Nice! I like the windows in the electroforming.

Nice stuff man, you should post pics more often! Really like your compressions, I still haven't got a clue how to get em to turn out like that. I always end up with mashed patterns. More more more!!
