I got an order from someone to make a "gold sparkly" bubbler. Is there a gold dichro that anyone knows of that comes pre sleeved? Has anyone ever made a solid gold dichro anything? Anny ideas would help, thank you.

try Northstar fools gold it is like a gold steel wool. just mix it with clear first to make it smooth then wipe on, blow out or do whatever ya like.
You can get pre sleeved dicro tube from Dicro Alchemy. They have a gold one but I think it has some blue in it too.

or just roll it around whatever colored tube you want and stuff it in some heavy wall . DA cyan/orange is a nice gold coating

Ok, the roll up with the rasta gold sounds the best. Can anyone explain how to do that? Once i roll it on the tube, id ;like to pour some rasta gold frit inside. Think that the dicro will not burn out when i'm melting in the frit?
make your color tube then wrap in dicro then sleeve!

Get the frit in the tube first just like normal inside out work. After you're finished melting it in, do your dichro roll-up and sleeve it.

man, that rasta gold dicro shattered on me! it was a 5.5x5 inch square. I had it puntied and in the kiln at about 1000, and it looked like it was starting to flake off. then it shattered when I had the flame on it. I was goin to wrap it around a 44 mil amber colored tube. oh well, gotta go get more and try again
start smaller and work up to the bigger size that way you have a handle on it and success. then when you try it again go bigger. Thats the way I learn less loss on stuff that does not work.
