Blenko Glass Co. in WV is apparently closed. I hate to see yet another glass business go down.

Sorry to hear that too. I know it was one of the old companies and a lot of glass folks used their products.

I wonder what happened, children inherited a golden egg and they fried it?

Sometimes when somethinggoes through the fire, something good comes out the other side. I hope whoever buys up the equipment makes something good out of it anyway.

It was a pretty big operation. I feel bad for the folks that had worked there for years and are now unemployed with skills that are probably hard to market.

Waterofrod folded a few weeks ago to.
Waterofrd had to call the police to make the workers leave after they were told they were laid off because the co could no longer aford to stay open.

I would hit every junk store in my memory bank and buy up any undamaged blinko. I have seen hundreds maybe thousands roll thru the junk stores I frequent trouble is they are closing up fast as lighting too! Get em while they are still cheap three years from now that stuff will be double and in 10 could be 5-10 times your purchase price for reg stuff. any odds or special runs will be worth more! I think.
