I saw the 5 star rating thread, I have to post this, and hype it even more. Yesterday, I had gotten off work at 7 AM, working 3rd shift now. I got home, and called Kristian at 9:30 AM, told him I had a really crazy schedule, and could not make it to the storefront, but I really needed some gloves, and some graphite rods. a VERY piddly little order. I asked him to drop it off next door, so I had it for the following night (or last night). He told me no problem, don't sweat it. Well, I guess he over looked it, but he remembered last night, WHILST sitting at home, spending time with his family, around 9 PM, he got dressed, went to the shop, and brought me my gloves, and graphite tools!!!
How many vendors do you know, whom would do that for you? Literally put his family aside (I'm sure it did not interfere, but it was STILL and hour with his wife and kids he lost), and go to his shop, get the tools, and bring them to your shop and deliver them? If you guys DON'T shop with Generations GLASS (http://generationsglass.com), then you are truly missing out on the hands down, BEST prices, products, advice, and customer service, or industry has to offer. He is a lampworker, whom knows what the best tools, and supplies on the market are, and he will give away profit to make sure you get the best tools, or supplies for your money. If there is a problem, he will make it right, and he runs his shop by the simple creeds: "the customer is always right!," "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," and "a happy customer is a repeat customer!"
anyway, thank you Kristian for all you have done for me personally and professionally, and last night you REALLY went above and beyond!
