I am in NC, I just moved and got a qoute from the local guy what do you guys think:

180L fill- 115.45
drayage- 12.50
fuel surcharge- 6.50
rental-3.75/day

I feel that the rental is too high. But I am used to sharing the cost. He says the tanks are all refurbed but not really that new, but have head regs on them.
lease- $38/year

Freakin airgas was chargin me 26/fill on 337cf tanks....and 65 a year lease on them.

I am on the mirage about 4-6 hrs a day otherwise I am slumpin and fusin.


What would you do if you were in my shoes?

he also qouted me on 288cf tanks.

what is true t tank 337 right.....but a 288 is bigger than a k aint it??????

Are we talking liquid or gas? I think liquid standard is 305L, K tank( gas) is 251cf. 305L fill for me (with no volume history, new customer) is $87 fill,$27 del. with a yr lease of $405 ($1.11 / day). 251cf (K tank) is $24.65 a fill, $60 yr lease. Oxygen is one of those comodities that has a floating price, good price for steady customer, poke the other guy hard to average out. Lucky Lucchiano would have cried tears of joy for a cut of the oxygen business.

the 180L is liquid.

the other tanks I speak of is gas.

Oxygen is one of those things I hate to think about, it just pisses me off.

For a 200L I am paying $180 for the fill, delivery and fees (haz-mat etc.) And I lease the tank for $500 a year. Which comes out to about $1.36 a day. Looks like you're getting a decent deal to me. and sounds like I'm getting screwed on my yearly lease on my 200L. Gotta love Airgas!

I'm also in NC and get O2 form airgas. $9.50 for a 337 with a $2 fee. To lease a tank (OX300 they call it) was $50/year and 5 years up front. I just make sure to take my receipt in when I fill em...

A friend took his tanks in one day and they tried to charge him ~$48 for two 250's. He told them he has/will not pay that price and after a couple mins of him typin the price came down to ~$28 plus fees. Crazy....

I have not had the need, yet, for LOX but I'll check on what they'd charge me
