so, i'm diggin the glow.
but i find myself wanting for a way to RAPIDLY charge it up good and bright.
sunlight works, but takes a while, flouros and incandescents don't ever seem to get it a full charge....
does a uv flashlight make em sing in the dark pretty quickly?
just figured i'd ask around before i dropped the $30 on one.

you've tried a blacklight? You can get blacklight flours at home depot. I used it on my powder. I just lay it right on the bulb and within a couple minutes it looks like its going to burn through the packaging.

Sunlights probably the best/fastest/cheapest... but only during the day....
a UV led flashlight works great as well.

blacklight works great...

also the light produced by the flame works real good too, though not always available when you need it.
heres the one I bought that works fantastically:

worth it...with the blacklight I can make the glow baaahs glow enough to be visible indoors in the daytime...too bad the glow starts fading almost instantly.

Yep....John....my faves.... portable 35mm camera flash or the mini blacklights.
(The small tubes blow) I have some good lights at www.glowglass.com

If you're in the shop, nothing beats this. Extra high fuel until the flame is bright white; glass will day-glow in no time.

Halogen work lights work wonders too.
I just wanted to chime in that I don't know why exactly, but it seems like the frit charges a little faster. Maybe it's less density and smaller surface area absorbing more light, but I walked the 70 feet out to my shop in bright daylight with a container of frit, and by the time I stepped into the shop the exposed half of the container was bright aqua. I gave it a little shake and made sand art :)
