New diffy set finished last week. Think I am going to
make a lot more of these. Was cut to length and slits
put in after these pics were taken.

Very nice set.

Can I ask if you use a graphite holder for the male on the slide?

No, why? (not being dickish at all, just wondering if there was a sign that I did use said tool) Was there some graphite I missed? Sometime the tape leaves a mark or 2. I make all my own GOG tools out of glass and use graphite tape in between joints when working them. Much cheaper and they still last forever. If they break I make a new one for about $1.50.

No your not wrong but not quite right. ,lol. As I said in the above post I cut to length and put slits in after custie tells me how long they want it. These pics were taken pre-cut.

fine !!
lol, made me laugh.
I bought my tape thru Glasscraft I believe. Comes in like a 50ft roll. Enough to last a lifetime or more. Just take a little (maybe 3cm long) and put it on the male joint before sliding it in the female. Push em together and your good to go, can work em for like an hour without it falling off. When done I just grab the bowl with my gloves and pull/twist it out and put it in the kiln. The tape should just fall off but if not DO NOT PICK AT IT!!!!! Just leave it on the male joint and toss in kiln. After sitting in there for 15 min or so you will be able to tap it off and it will just fall right off. If you try to pick it off it will come off in pc's and leave nasty crap on the joint.

real nice diffy set. i really like those colours together with the white push. so you cut the diffuser after you get measurments from the customer? so its an open end diffuser, or is there a hole at the bottom.

hehe very nice work i may want one hehe

Very nice.

I have a question. I noticed some people put a maria between the male fitting and the bowl. Why do people do that? Is there a reason for it, or does it just make it look fancier? Just wondering. Again very nice.

I cut the end and then flame polish and reduce it a bit in size. Then the slits are cut in the sides. All this is done after I get the correct length from the custie.

Very nice.

Makes it look nicer IMHO, no real reason other than that for me.

Petto, wicked skills you are able to work on the slide so closely to the face of the female holder without damaging it.
