Any one know what nema code the plug on the aim 2418 is?

It looks like the amperage at 240 Volt is 18 amps, which would equate to 30 plug, which would be either an L6-30P http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/5A087
or an L5-30P (they look about the same to me)

NEC says that a 20 amp connector can't be used because of the 80% rule (80% of 20 amps is 16 amps), so you have to go to the next higher available connector, in this case, a 30 amp.

If you're ordering it to be made you can request the type of plug you want. I have the stove/dryer plugs on all my 220 kilns.

It may be best to contact AIM direct than to get "MAYBE" answers on forum....

Actually, it's surprising to me that the owner of AIM hasn't answered in this thread. He was pretty quick to accuse posters of bad mouthing his products, but can't be bothered to answer an easy question about his products evidently.
