Shane Young (the pendant pimp) is teaching a class on dec 3-4-5th, 3 days for 200,sat and sundayfor 150. the friday class is an option for folks who want a little more introductory instruction(newbies) that havent had alot of experience with the pendants/jewlery or with glass for that matter. this is an beginners to intermediate glass class describing several pendant styles and shapes,several types of pendant clasps or loops,and color use unencased. A basic rundown of the class follows...
friday- intro to pendants,demos of how a single gather is the start of at least 6 pendant styles,how one color and a rod can be utilized to make a plethora of different styles. stretching materials and utilizing time.demos of simple pendants.
saturday- demos including twists,rakes,reversals,flowers,frit reduction pendants,signatures,hollow pendants,opal pendants,demos of clasps,split,double,single,using rod for the clasp and using the actual pendant itself for the clasp.
