Trade name ?

What should you do if someone else is using your trade name? would it make for confusion if their on the otherside of the country?

well....typically its whoever got the business liscense first gets to keep the name. Probably best to work this out now beacuse in theory one day you're work will be highly sought after(not to say its not now...) and you don't want to have to fight about it then. If you're ABC glass and they're ABC glass how will your fans know which one is the real you? How far away is the other company?

Whats the name>? If it's ABC or 420 glass then it prolly would't matter as much but if it is more unique then it would matter a little more. I think it matters either way personally. These days the web is a a nationwide storefront. Not to mention a lot of glass accounts are not all in one location. Some businesses are much more regional like a plumber or somthing like that where your customers are only in one specific area. . The glass business is not that case.

a glass off is the only option. Whoever has the nicest glass keeps the name.

Yeah it sucks when you think up a name only to find out someone else already has it. I was going to be Zen Glassworks then I found out there already was one.
