I was wondering if any one would be interested in a lets say monthly contest where a specific topic is chosen and the members here compete to make a representation of the topic and then a general vote decides the winning piece. I think it could help alot of beginers to learn the language of art. A topic like PI or economic distress or coalessence. Do research make the piece and share it with everyone?

Yaba Daba Doom, How bout we let the poll run it's coourse and the will make suggestions and run another poll to decide the topic. Once picked I,ll look for a sponser to have a possible purchase award or an online auction house. Then that answers the "whats in it for me" question. And thanks Garrick it means alot.Or aspacce or abunch
We should make a triple headed three way dilly so the three that voted what do I get out of this can pleasure each other at the same time.

Thay is a great idea. Now we need to find something for those that won't share Cause the the triple header won't fly there.

:o: If a person was sculpturally challenged, might it be acceptable for said person to submit challenge entry in a bead format?
And if folks don't share, that's fine...perhaps their award should be "nothing." Either that or a glass buttplug. :evilLaugh
peace,
chris
Haller I am stoked about this it seems like a fun idea that could grow into something good.
Like if we all make the same item them the winning one can be added as a prize to the forum birthday raffle.
The others could be donated to a good charity that changes each month the winner pick charity then we action the rest and donate the money.

The process is the most important thing here so if there is money it would be great to divert it to a worthy cause.

If a bead or a pipe or a bol or plate is you canvas that is great its what you say on the canvas that's the important thing.
