I noticed when Milon Townsend was working on his CC++ at the IHGI he had 4 green oxygen hoses hooked up to his torch. He definitely had the oxy hoses hooked up to the propane and that really surprised me. I am assuming they ran out of propane hose for that to happen?

So is it safe to run propane through oxygen hose?

I don't see why not...

yep. Oxygen hose is usually Buna-N rubber, and is considered propane safe.

Acetylene hoses have a natural rubber liner (like latex) which is why you can't use them.

I would add, do NOT use propane hoses for oxygen, and it would maybe be better to not use used oxygen hoses for propane, but I have no proof.

FOR SAFETY its probably better to keep "color" coding for oxygen (green) and fuel (red)....... And oxygen connectors are right-hand thread, and fuel left-hand thread, this helps prevents confusion and connecting something up wrong..... To me this is all in place to keep ME safe...
