Hey Everybody,

This is Naomi, Mike's agent, partner, manager, rep, what-have-you ("everything but the artist").

I wish I posted more on here, but truth be told I feel a little bit out of my element, as it seems most of you are glassblowers.

I'm kept very busy representing a glassblower, though I am a glassblower-in-training in my occasional "free" time. At the rate I'm going I'll be making my own lampworked beauties in about 20 years. I've been learning glass fusing in the meantime, and having fun with that!

But we are not here to talk about me, now are we.

I want to let y'all know what my partner Mike Warren has been up to these days, including links to where you can view his art, buy his art, and contact him.

It seems like the Introduce Yourself section is a great place to start.

So, we have a new website that I finally have up and running:

warrenartglass.com (http://warrenartglass.com/)

From there you can link to a bunch of different places where Mike's glass is available for purchase and viewing, but I'll add those in here as well:

eBay:

http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/openfireglass (http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/openfireglass)

Etsy:

OpenFireGlass.etsy.com (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6075555)

MySpace:

http://www.myspace.com/openfireglass

glassartists.org:

L.H. Selman Gallery:

http://www.theglassgallery.com/

I feel way late in joining this party, so maybe you could reply to this thread and introduce yourselves to me to help me feel more at home here. I can see this is a really wonderful community and I'd love to be a part of it, if you'll have me!

PEACE,

Naomi (& Mike)

P.S. I thought I'd add in a few of my favorite pieces of Mike's latest work:

I'll post a few more pics in a separate post.

Thanks for your time, y'all! I'm glad to be here, and want to be a more active participant in this community (including an upcoming birthday, yes? I will need to look up that thread really quickly, and I hope I haven't run out of time!)

Oh, and also, I'm making an assumption that most regulars here know who Mike Warren is, but I know that doesn't mean you all know him. So if you want more background on Mike, let me know!

Yep, Pretty cool.

You are very well organized and prob do Mike a good service.

But you should get involved with this forum as a part of your glass work. Not saying you should not rep mike here but maybe do it under a user name Mike Warrens rep.

I don't know if thats allowed but this would allow you to come out of your shell so to speak.

Rock on and show some of your stuff you will feel more motivated I promise one I posted some stuff I made it a point to move past my crappy prodo and into stuff I have a hard time letting go of.

Hey GlassDoc, thanks for looking!

Hi JR, thanks for the tips and what-not. This account is basically my account as I set it up under Mike's name last year, and he rarely if ever has time to post, though he might occasionally post, but then we'd indicate it was Mike or Naomi.

Is that violating terms and services? I guess I'd better look at that. I'm not there yet to be promoting my own stuff, though I might be able to ask questions here about my own stuff.

My main intent in the moment is to learn as much as I can as it relates to rep'ing for Mike and promoting Mike. He needs a good rep; his work is phenomenal, and I'm not just saying that either. If it looks iffy, it's the photography all the way and not the work! The work is flawless, and he's getting better all the time!

I changed the profile to accurately indicate who we are. And openfireglass is the handle we use on everything.

PEACE,
Naomi

Hey Everybody,

How are you all doing on a Friday? The weather here is a bit foggy, and otherwise very pleasant.

I just want to share a marble auction that is up right now that I particularly love:

This is a link to the auction: INDIGO HUMBOLDT COUNTY GOO BALL GLASS MARBLE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=250433586200)

It's a beauty of a marble, full of rich, varied colors and lots of interesting details to look at.

And a few photos of the marble:

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h50/openfireglass/May%202009%20eBay/fr17.jpg

And if anyone is interested in giving me any feedback on the photography, I'm working in a new space so the lighting has been interesting to get used to, and then I have a new work computer too. When I look at the images on the computer I use for photo-editing it looks spectacular. When I look at the images on my laptop they look much different.

How do they look to you?

Thanks for the feedback!

Peace,
Naomi

You can just put jr23 on your "Ignore List" That's what everyone around here has done...lol.

But seriously, you aren't violating terms of service. Carry on, and tell Mike to keep up the good work!

BTW< those seashells are the bomb!
