Camera couldn't catch what was going on inside Hamm's piece. I will tell you this dude's body never stopped rocking and the piece is absolutely massive! The crowd definetly loved watching him work.

It's my fav from looking at the pics for sure

The size, The color combos (I AM BLOWN AWAY by his version of ISO, makes me feel tiny lol) The shape, and on top of it all, the shear amount of unboiled-undevitrified white...MY GOD

Hamm the man for Pres in 2012

did he have the white prepped? Or did he just blow out a bunch of it while he was there?

I think he did have the tube prep, not for sure. But the piece you see is the piece he made after the real piece broke. It was going to be a ray gun( actually more like a rifle, I think it was going to be like 5 foot long) Hamm is a ROCKSTAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Hamm is not human. I'm convinced he is a cyborg sent here from the future to inspire glassblowers to progress faster so they can later save humanity with mind-blowing glass art.

He is one of my favorites for sure. Watching him work at the DFO was great fun...always dancing. The colors on the inside and the little clear windows...and the actual functionality. Not only was it hard to capture the colors...but the actual water filtration set up in that thing is crazy. It goes through a crazy spiral and up and down and up and around and all over the place before it comes out of the can. When you use it, it rumbles and shakes in the most delightful way. Hamm is definitely the man. And he rocks a friggin' Nortel. He does all kinds of crazy customizations to the Nortels too. Yes...definitely a cyborg...and definitely inspirational.

I remember my friend and I got a case of Hamm Glass 8 years ago and there were some crazy things that blew everyone away. He also made a piece that had the one eyed one horned purple people eater. It stood on an oil lamp of NY and when lit the hole thing burned this was before 9/11 the detail was sick. I saw him when he came to Detroit a few months back he set up in my buddy blebs shop. He rocked out a ton of stuff and showed us tons of tech. The guy never stands still he was amazing to watch and Hamm has some of the best stories of his early days of workin.

wasn't he rocking a Beth at the DFO?

His scientific glass ability is unreal. Some of his glass I can not figure out for the life of me how it works.

That piece is sick...I am fortunate enough to own his latest and greatest model of the upside down tube and i have a "heady 14mm slide from his as well with that same kinda tubing used on the piece above but in a different color scheme.. Hamm B is the man
