Anyone else get this email from GlassArtists.org???

I received an Email asking if i wanted to be part of a book coming out...

i was told 10-15 others were contacted. I was contacted through Glassartists.org

anyone else here? or know anyone who got contacted?

I have emailed the person back a few times and they always respond promptly and give me whatever info they can. Some info they say they are not allowed to disclose to me.. like the other artists in the book.

I called the publisher to verify, and it seems real. Just curious who the others are?

Pakoh, yes got the same e-mail. It seems legit like you said by prompt e-mails and such, but very little info. My gut is telling me its a bit dicey, but who knows. The deadline is today I believe. We might bite but I'm still not sure. Have you gotten an actual phone# for her? I haven't.

I got an email last year like that from GP. Wrote back then it kinda never came up again.

They hit me up but through my website, not ga. I don't have any info for her other than what she sent in the copy and pasted email.

The persons name is "Danijela". Yes she sent me her phone number, and if you look close at the release form in the initial email, it has her full name and address too.

The publisher told me that they did have a book in the works called "Glass Artists of Today"..... waiting to hear back from someone there.

The email sounds to me like there are multiple books because of he quotes below, but I didn't see anything about a deadline.


I hereby give permission for photographs of objects in my possession to be used in the
Schiffer Publishing publication(s) and in related promotional materials, i.e. excerpts, magazine articles, advertisements, etc. This includes possible use on the cover.


Each book differs in design. Sometimes credit is given to the contributor of an item in the
photo caption, and sometimes contributors are listed as a group at the beginning of the book. It is too early to tell which will be used in this book. Some people prefer not to have their names under the pictured item, and some wish to remain completely anonymous.

I guess it's just because Danijela is using he publisher's picture release form, since she says she is writing the book on stained glass/glass artists. i wish there was more info from her about her book, it sounded a little rushed and non specific to me but if she only contacted 10-15 people it must not be. Anyway...good luck to those who work with her. I just can't pick up another project right now or I'd be more interested. Schiffer has published a lot of glass books if i recall right.

I got one and deleted it thinking it was BS......maybe it was legit, but if they are sending me one I doubt it, lol.....you never know these days with all of the e-mail scams that go around. Let me know what anyone finds out.

I sent info to a Mark Block ( I think that was his name?) he said he was publishing a new book on contemporary glass marbles through schiffer books.... that was more than a year ago....??????? I checked the net for info... got mixed reviews....???? anyone have some insight??
