contempary lampworking. Worth the money for the books just for the charts alone.

"it's all in the books man" I hate when people say that! This is what I do for Boro
Seg 1
No Delay 0
Ramp 9999
Temp 1050 degrees
Hold 8 hours (or however long your going to be in your studio)
It should take about 45 mins to heat up to temp.
Seg 2
No Delay 0
Ramp 9999 (It drops pretty quick 100 degrees but boro is tough)
Temp 950
Hold 40 mins (Longer if your making 2" marbles)
Seg 3
No Delay 0
Ramp 9999
Temp 850
Hold 40 mins
Complete. Just 3 Segments
I'd like to hear feedback on my settings as I am still a newbie. I'll have to open the books too.

For Amber Purple, I add a forth segment in between 1 and 2 of
No Delay
Ramp 9999
Temp 1150
Hold 1 hour
This will cause a 200 degree drop pretty quick when the hold is done.

some thicknesses of glass need more soak time and while saying just garage at 1050 and shut off or even ramp down to 930 then off is decent for most hollow work its not covering everything. Theres a reason to read those charts.
