Hey everybody!

I just want to post the new phone number for Living Glass Works as our 877 number has been stolen by direct tv. LOL. To reach me call or text 541 337 9743.

If you need a kiln, I will be releasing a new line of lampworking kilns at the Eugene Glass School Flame off. Try before you buy!!! We will supply the units for the flame off and then sell them at a discount afterwards. I believe that I have improved every feature in comparison to the Living Glass Works kilns produced by AIM.

I am still making the original Dichro press in three sizes as well as 5 styles of metal punties/blowpipes.

We are still holding workshops with Jason Lee and I (Marcel) by private arrangement. Groups of 4+ are ideal.

I am also pleased to offer sessions in the boro hot shop as arranged in groups of 4. Tech issues and process issues will be covered according to the groups interest. (Blowing and Building).

There have been a lot of changes here at LGW, I just want to make sure everyone knows that we are still here. Thanks for tolerating my spam.

-marcel :flame:

PS. Mad props to everyone doing original work (on and off the torch)....we are really laying it down as a community, not just as individual artists. GO TEAM!

First of all, the DFO was awesome and thanks everyone for the good times during and after...let's do it again y'all!

Kilns will be available in August, I will get pics as they are available but it will be closer to august than sooner. Give a call or PM/email if you want to get on the list.

I will not be coming to AGI this year, maybe next year? Ask Wonka.

The presses are as follows: Small bay=2x3" and built on typical 1 ton arbor press

Medium bay=3x4 and built on MUCH larger 2 ton press.

Large bay = 3.5x4.5 also on 2t press.

Custom = what do you need?

While I am at it, the punties are available as follows:
Standard punty=22" OAL with a .5" stem and a flared .75" head. Approx 1" contact patch 80.
Standard Blowpipe=22" OAL with a .5" stem and flared head. 90.
Small Punty= 14"OAL .5" stem and straight .5"head Approx .65" contact patch 40.
Small blowpipe=14"OAL .5"stem and straight .5" head. 45.
Step down= 14"OAL .5" stem and head with step down to .25" Approx .4" to.5" contact patch. 45.

Custom....

To clarify, contact patch refers to the glass on glass contact surface once the punty is dressed with glass. (Moil size).

All of my punties and blowpipes are made with extremely nice chromoly tubing making them as light or lighter than the same size glass handle. And they won't break. Or melt.

These are not just cut pieces of rod; you can buy that at home depot. They are carefully designed well made tools that will last a lifetime. My original punties used a heavy ss pipe as the stem and had a slightly different head profile. The chromoly almost halved the overall weight in the new design. (Just to clarify for those of you who have the older tools.)

Thanks all,

Marcel

PS. If anyone is interested, I may be able to trade LGW products/services for web design. Locals?
