i have a new line of pieces coming out in the next few months, and i need some custom turned wooden stands for them. i need a set of 12 assorted sizes and would like to get a wholesale deal, but also am willing to pay a reasonable price for good quality. there are a few specifics about them that we would discuss in pm's. please let me know if you have the skills and the nice wood!

what time frame and styles are you thinking about?
are these gonna be marble molds?
is this a one time thing?

right now, i just need the first set of 12-14. depending on response, it might become more of a regular item, but in that case the cost would have to go down, and i understand the quality would be simpler too. while they're not exactly marble molds, thats pretty close to the size. sort of a really nice coaster..

I do a lot of woodwork (http://www.blankenship.com), including small-scale woodturning. If you're willing to drop about $500 on a minilathe and some tools, you can learn to turn small items like marble stands in a weekend of practice. PM me if you'd like some gear recommendations.

i'd really like to see some pics. of your wood work and also your glasswork. dont want to send my idea off to someone who's making anything remotely similar.

Well, you can see pics of my woodwork at http://www.blankenship.com. I wasn't actually soliciting the gig, however, I don't even vaguely have time (though it sounds more fun than work is :( ).
I'm just pointing out that it's relatively easy and cheap to do yourself. After 30 minutes of lessons, my wife learned how to turn her own pencil & pen sets.
