You guys missed my birthday

You know, my birthday was yesterday and I woke up and ran to the computer. I opened up the melting pot (my homepage) with a fervor and scanned hopefully with wide watery eyes to peruse my friendly birthday greetings.

Shortly thereafter I was hanging my head with tears streaking my cheeks. What has this world come to? I might just not have kids now, knowing that they will have to face such trauma and hardship on their road of pain and forgotten birthdays.

You shameless tart. Just kidding. A belated happy birthday. Many of us will be overlooked on birthdays, mostly from our own lack of community here (I speak for myself). Reading the birthday greetings, you can feel the history in many of the relationships. We too will, over time , share that kind of closeness , but that's what it takes. Time and history. I have no such thoughts of getting flowing birthday greetings here. It's nearly a caged death match to get them at home. And remember, there's no crying in glassblowing!
