Hi folks. I just met the owners of Peaceful Valley Campground, which is 10 minutes away from us. They have a cabin or two available for $75.00 per night and they sleep 6 each.

Also available is a restaurant, heated pool, horseback riding, hay rides, and other cool stuff that you can enjoy even if you are not camping there.

Here is their web site;
http://www.peacefulvalleycamp.com/

We’ll see you all soon!

BTW- There are still a few spots left if you have been waiting until the last minute!

I really need this as I am unable to bring a tent or sleeping bag or anything as I am coming from overseas. I looked around the website but couldn't tell if the cabins came with beddng, blanket, pillow, etc...

Regardless I am down to split the fee on on of these with some others.

Contact me....

Or is not camping right at AGI, kina missing out on the experience?

Well I gotta figure this out soon, the day is getting closer and closer and all I have are clothes and toiletries and my lampworking glasses, my camping knife and a flashlgiht,.

So unless I can barrow a full on tent and sleeping bag (pillow and air mattress as a luxury only, but would be very nice), I really have no choice but to go for a cabin, which sounds pretty good, but since I dont drive, I would be dependent on getting a ride from the cabins to agi and from agi back to the cabins evey day, which could be a bitch, I don't know.

All the little general stuff from Somberbear's list I can pick some of it up where I am now and bring it and I am assuming a lot of it can be bought at the general store that was mentioned that is at the camping ground or just a short drive away.

Well I camped in 07 and it rained most of the week and ended up sleeping in my car , so i'm just not looking forward to taking my chances with that agian. But it looks like I might be.

There is a hotel where a lot of folks stay, thats about 10 mins away also.

I'm still on the fence

Well if I can't get the tent, I definitely have to stay indoors, so if you want to, I am down with the cabin thing and spliting the cost (and the more we split it with the better as I am poor now with all this traveling),

Just remember if they have adult skinimax I like to watch lots of hardcore gay porno (just kidding).

The motel down the road didn't even have cable and you think something called a "cabin" will?

If someone has pics of the Emlenton Motor Lodge, please post them, the ones I took in '06 have mildewed. HA!

I've stayed in some seedy places before, but that place took the mildew infested cake.

Only the awesome experience of AGI, and the kindness of Tom and Elaine made me briefly forget about the Emlenton Motor Lodge.

The Emlenton Motor Inn has been under new management for the past several years and is now very well kept. The new owners live at the motel and take pride in keeping a clean house.

If you have any complaints about the accommodations, please bring it to my immediate attention. We fill the place every year and they don’t want to lose our business.

Just a little over 2 weeks to go!!!!!

Tom

P.S.- Thank you so much for the kind words Fred. I hope you and Heather can make it back sometime : )

Considering that I spent *maybe* 4-5 hours/night at the Emlenton, it was more than fine for that. Plus, the owner gave us free beer the first night as we got there after the only beer stop within 200 miles had closed...
