I am writing this not to brag, but to see what kind of insight you all might be able to offer. I have been working on this shop for the past year and 1/2. When I first got in there the roof was about to coplapse and the building hadn't been used in 35 years. There was giant heaters and air conditioners from long ago and an array of weird shit and problems you run into with building from the late 1800's that have had a century of ghetto rig repair jobs. The shop is 90% done and more has even been done since I took these pics ( new tool bench, re-built the pipe warmer) , but there is still improvements that can be made. Below are pics of my hot shop, cold shop, bench, neon setup, and lathe room. I also included some pics of some of the boro plasma work I have done recently. They are lit up with just the air in the room.

nice clean shop, man.
that's some crazy interference patterns in that coil, too. Looks like you're still evacuating it at that stage. I wish air was a stable mix, you can get some crazy stuff happening with it.

nice looking shop!! But I didn't see any kind of ventalation around that Glory Hole. I don't know how you will stand the heat in there with that thing on!!!
Are you doing color pots for your gathers? I didn't see a marver table either.
Just wondering.

Jane

Thanks for the Kind words I have put a lot of blood and sweat into that shop. As far as the heat from the glory hole goes there is ventilation in the top of the hood and an intake at the bottom. I just have attic fans 1400cfm in there right now but once they burn out I will replace them with pulley driven fans and put the motor down low and run it on a belt for a semi truck. Every inch thus far has felt like a mile, but the end (or should I say beginning) is in sight. I am about to go back to glass full time again once I finish the shop up. As far as the plasma pieces go those pieces were still on the manifold when lit up. The little lathe is a Herbert Arnold. I use it to make graded seals and home made electrodes. I will show you guys finished work when I finish my portfolio, but not a single piece till then. Thanks once again.
