View Full Version : Scientific glass blowers.
Are there any scientfic glass blowers in Florida? I tried looking for some but can find any. Or any really good scientific blowers that anyone can recommend.
I my boss gets some lab glass every now and then and there are chips on the rims of vessels.

I am but I live in NY
Go to the ASGS web site and look up ( Find A Glassblower) menu
you should be able to fine someone in your area.
If not send me a ticket and I would be glad to come down to FLA and repair you chips.

The one in Sanford is like 20 minutes from me. Ive been there before, got a tour of the place. Pretty cool, giant lathes, giant torches, giant kilns all working quartz with liquid hydrogen and O2...just like the space shuttle. I dont know if they do repairs but Im sure they could.

I'm happy to help but I would guess there are 10 shops in your area. Take a look in the phone book if you come up short I'll ask my old boss who's down your way.
