Hello,

As some of you know I now own a boro furnace for some of my own larger projects, and so we can dip our own tubing here at GlassWorksPark. Currently I am working exclusively with Northstar color since Abe is the man who is making this all possible! I have decided to offer some of my privately pulled tubing to you here.

Currently I have about 20 lbs of blue caramel tubing ready to ship. All tubing is round and even in wall thickness but does vary in diameter... from about 70mm to 19mm. so we probably have the size you prefer. The 70+mm chunks have a wall thickness of around 7-9mm and the pulled out tubing is around 4-6mm wall thickness.

$50 a lb

Each of the long tubes is approximately 1-1.5 lbs

*there is a stabilizing layer of clear SIMAX on the inside of all tubes as pictured*

Nice!!! Man how things are evolving. WHo would of thought 5-10 years ago people would be pulling their own tube like this.

I have made a couple bottles and cups from this tubing... I will post them up tomorrow, as they are at the studio... and I'll be able to use my real camera... not my phone as above haha

Where will you be shipping out of? It is awsome to see our industry headed in this direction. I believe this to be a very positive progression.

Those fat end chunks look awesome, possibilities endless. The inside color is beautiful.

Along with your pictures can you decribe the work-ability of your tubing, ie. how it compares to available market comps. I imagine with an inner of clear it should work pretty smooth. Thanks!

I was pretty excited when I saw you and Nick packing up the furnace to take home...I can't wait to see what other colors you decide to do...something multicolored but not completely mixed up would be sweet...is that possible?

Thanks a lot guys, I had no idea I'd be doing this a year ago, let alone 5-10... In my opinion this is the future of our industry, and I am stoked to be a part of it!

This is not the first batch of tubing that I/we've pulled here... So far we have been stockpiling and using Mystery Aventurine, Pomegranate, 09 yellow, A/P, and an experiment batch of random striking colors. We have around 300 pounds of color ready to go, but with one furnace it takes time to switch colors. Next week I'll be pulling Star White Tubing and Rod over clear... but most of that is for double dipping in our other colors, such as cobalt, pomegranate, yellow...

I am shipping from Seattle, WA. Any suggestions or or requests for colors or custom dips, don't hesitate to ask!

Here are some quick pictures i took this evening at the shop, but unfortunately my camera was dead so they're phone pics again. I'm in the middle of an order currently, but i busted this sherlock out in about an hour to demonstrate the tubing. The first pic is of the piece of tubing used to make the piece. I didn't even preheat it in the kiln... i'll post more of it blasted tomorrow.

Here are some more random jars etc I made the other day... These I was experimenting with different levels of reduction, but as you can see it blasts clean without any lines. I also got these metallic gold speckles on one of them... beautiful! I haven't gotten a chance to sleeve it yet, but I can imagine that it'll look incredible

And here are a few peeks at one drawer of my color stash... looks like candy!

plus some random jars and bottles made out the furnace. the dichro tubing features a turbo and white cane dipped in the a/p furnace before adding the clear layer

the last one is a blue caramel oops piece gone right... i forgot a step before dipping, however the effect is incredible!

Thanks a lot! that is a juice glass sized cup... it is a mixture of all my clear based striking colors thrown into an almost empty pot of a/p. The brilliant red inside is the pomegranate tubing I used for the dip :D
