Hey everyone
I finally got my torch working, and blew my first little bubble on the end of some tubing. A little uneven but it's expected. :chilling:

I don't really know of anyone here in austin (aside from the guys at flameworks) soo..but it'd be awesome if anyone wanted to meet up and melt some glass, I could sure use some pointers.

welcome to the nuthouse. Lots to be learned here. I know there's a lot of lampers near by you, put an ad out in the people finding area and hook up. Have fun!

welcome to the forum. best move you will ever make in glass learning.
a word of constructive criticism is that your joints need to be melted quite a bit more than they are. i know you may think its good if they are holding together but from what i see they are only tacked and will for sure bust apart easily later on.
take your time at each joint and melt until you dont see any distinct crease. do small sections of the joint at a time to maintain control and work your way around in quarter turn increments.
dont go to the next one until you have the first one melted in smooth.
now get out and melt something. practice, practice,practice......
