For those of you that aren't compulsive cleaners, but also use jacks when you work, how do you keep from getting beeswax all over the glass on your bench? I know I'm not the only one with a layer of boro between the hardibacker and the surrounding air.

I'm guessing the best answer is to suck it up and clean, but at the moment I'm leaning towards sleeping all the not-quite-shorts into a box or vase to get them out of the way.

if you heat the glass up the wax will come off. I've never had wax dripping all over my bench, I am assuming we work differently. Maybe you're getting to much wax build up on your jacks.

I don't let the blades of my jacks sit on the bench. When not in daily use they hang on a hook and on days they are getting used alot I have the blade hanging over the edge handle on the table.

i have it drip a lot off my brass reamer and it goes where i lay my reamers. the jacks drip all over the cement floor and also on my table a bit... even on my torch recently but not the face thankfully. i don't mind it... if i lay something on wax and it burns that smell, i love it.

me too.... i hang them off the hoses to my torch, or off the edge of the table while still in use
