I recently acquired a Carlisle CC and the candles are burning uneven. The candle length on the right side are considerably longer than the left. Is this a problem? Something I should worry about? Is it an easy fix? Does it need a good cleaning?

get some straight wire first and run it through the ports, then give it a go.

^^ This typically happens when carbon builds up in the ports. It is a very common thing. The torch will need a good cleaning every so often. Ask your welding supply guys about a wire file. They are a few dollars, And have several gauge wires for cleaning ports with. find the 1 that easily goes inside the holes on the torch face. Be sure and clean every single hole on your torch, to ensure best results. I always turn my oxy on high after cleaning to blow out anything that may be left inside.

BTW -You shouldn't have to send it in to carlisle just because a few candles are a liitle different. It is not a major malfunction. + I beleive carlisle has rediculous repair fees.

yes on read icculus repair fees

go to a dentist and ask for a few root canal files. you want the purple and white sizes.

they're tapered wires that feel serrated. great for unclogging those ports and getting back the flow.

then sell your torch, carlisles suck (sorry, but they do)
