We should raffle/auction/sell off the collabs and donate the proceeds to a good cause. A few NorCal glassblowers have recently passed away in car accidents, and this would be a good way to help out the family members they've left behind. I suggest we might also donate a small percentage of the proceeds to the forum so we can pay some bills here and keep the lights on. :o)

Chances are there's gonna be other dogs up there... Bring an unfriendly one to the party might not be the best idea... I'm a big dog person myself, but if it is animal aggressive you might want to get a dog-sitter or something and leave the pooch at home....

Some of you have contacted me with a few questions so I'm gonna answer them here (as well as in PM's if I have time).

Food: Please be prepared to fend for yourself. Sandwiches, pizza dinners and non-alcoholic beverages will be supplied, but BYO snacks and beer. If there is enough demand, we may be able to get a keg. There is a cafe/deli within walking distance - although most of the food here in G'ville is really good, local, and usually organic, it is very taxed. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Boarding: There is a ton of floor space in the shop loft and in another location within 25 yards, so bring sleeping bags/cots/inflatable mats to crash on. There are also a few hotels within 5 minutes if that's how you roll. The nicest being about $125/night and the cheapest habitable one around $80/night. I'd suggest the Best Western/Humboldt House first, the Sherwood second, and Hotel Garberville third.

Dogs: No dogs please. As Ben stated, there are a handful of dogs in this industrial complex, so I'm asking that you please keep your dogs at home to avoid any problems.

Tools/Torches/Glass Bring 'em if it's convenient. We are looking at 4 shared tables (8 work spaces) plus a possibility of 4 more work spaces. There is also a lathe space. I have splitters off of the tank, but you'll need regs and lines.

Poker: Bring a piece of finished glass for the game if you play. Misha, please bring the poker chips. :)

I've also shortened the event days to Saturday and Sunday. If you want to show up Friday and assist with last minute stuff, it would be much appreciated.

WOOT WOOT!!! We're getting pretty close! More and more people have been threatening to drop in and it's starting to look like an actual party!

Things are in pretty good shape so far, but I've still got some costco shopping to do, a keg to order, and a bunch of ventilation crap to move into storage, but I'm taking a quick break until after new years and then it's back on!

If anyone wants to swing down after new years for a day or two and lend a hand cleaning/moving stuff, I'd really appreciate it.

getting ready. I have a small 40 pound furnace if anyone wants to mess around got a 50lb bag of super clear morretti cullet. got to do a test to check the coe. i have all the blowpipes puntys. and a 6 inch glory hole. all this is real easy to bring.

Let me know if that is cool i havnt ran it in a while and would be cool to do some nice weights maybe some floral encasment .

hey my girl lost a lot of money in tubes at stuff n things in eureka, n i didn't know that you can't get earth quake insurance so that blows. It was on fire and had major damage on memorial weekend, so that quake jsut sucked.
