So I finally got a my home studio set up...with a nice large work bench coated in cement board, a 2 speed squirrel cage blower hooked to a hood system ducted to the window with 12in circle ducting....also built temporary divider walls...turned out awesome! But not without some drama...

so November 25th i finish my studio and get the torch and glass into the shop...only to find that my fan and kiln wont run on the same circuit breaker...so we wire a new breaker and everything great...rage out a 40 piece order over the 4 day holiday weekend including thanksgiving...way psyched...just to get a letter Sunday from my landlord saying that i must take down my entire setup he is not comfortable with it...after i had told him and confirmed that i was goin to be torchin in the garage...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! not to mention that i find out from the nieghbor that the landlord is sheriff deputy in a town 30 min away....what a nightmare....

So my gf and i write a very pursuasive letter and must bite our nails for a week waiting for his response...yesterday he calls and says he wants to take a look at what have done at 4:00 oclock today...soooooo we oblige and we are cleared and good to go....thank god....ready to rage again stress free...got a fresh tank of oxy to hit the torch hard this weekend start workin on the 3 orders ive got backin up on me....feels soooo good to be done after 2 weeks of construction and a week of drama...ill post up some pics in my work thread of my new studio and some pieces sooon....thanks for everyones advice as i worked on settin up my ventilation...

Hope to see you all in madison for GLAS next week...Wednesday and thursday is the flameoff...gonnna be sick!

damn man sounds like a battle. sounds better now. i just found out i have a similar problem, with my fan and kiln, unbelievable. i am just setting up shop and hadnt plugged it all in yet together, just the kiln and after reading your story i thought i better check, and the fan runs super slow with the kiln on! too slow, lol. my solution is a 90 foot extension cord tho i think. i think that breaker is ok with just the kiln on it.. hoping.

ya no doubt, its just for the fan and stereo, etc. the kiln is on a very short 12 guage extension to the outlet in the shed :)
