3rd piece from the bottom up...see how thick your glass is in the neck? You condensed the glass down, if you already didn't, try to remember what you did there. If you gotta red max, you'll def be able to condense longer and bigger sections, so you'll get that thickness but the outside diameter of the neck will be bigger and will flow into the bowl head better.

Also, don't be afraid to gather more glass for your bowl heads, it'll make em thicker, and assist in the pushing of the bowl and make it nice and even. If you hold the bowl head up when you blow it out, it helps it kinda shroom over to get a nicer rounder head. Bet very good firsts!! You def got me beat on mine, yet I didn't have a red max to melt in my shit!! keep it up!

Good first attempts! Now go make a few hundred more. All you can do is practice practice practice.

Looks like you're blowing your bowl hole in the middle of your head and pushing down, try blowing it more towards the stem and then pushing it down and towards the front of the piece at the same time *angle it*, it gives it a cool effect (not sure what you call it, but give it a try and you'll see what I'm talking about)
