on another NOTE .. I saw a video today of a guy that was makin pine cones with the "laser cut out" layered approach like you mentioned. They don't look as good as the forged ones that Steve Joslyn makes, IMO.....but I guess they looked better than "stamped" layered ones. I can find that link if you'd like to see it......you may have already seen it.....in that case........"never mind, my lil rosann rosanna danna"

Thanks Bill, I've been making my own, I think you will be quite impressed. At least I am! LOL. I will email you some pics. I should be mostly done with the hearth by the end of the weekend. The only part that is super time consuming is making each individual "leaf". But the torch works well for a quick heat and mash. Did you get any luck with the info I gave you?
