Anyone ever do this show? 5/22-23
The deadline is tomorrow but I'm on the fence about it.
Any thoughts?

All everyone likes at the EL art fest is pipes and maybe a few pendants.. you should definitely just rage bubblers and bongs.. maybe a few pendants

Keep in mind that our economy sucks, people look a lot and don't buy, and in general, there were a lot fewer vendors at the EL Art Fair last year because of this. A friend who has done the show, in a different medium, said she probably won't do it this year, and definitely won't do the AnnArbor one. At lot of $$ for not a great return.
There is a glass and clay show in Ferndale, MI or maybe Royal Oak... that one has been good, busy, with buyers with $$.

You got that right Julz....people are looking more and spending less. My stuff that's $35 and under does okay still, stuff over that....tough to move now. If you have stuff at the right price points, you'll do okay with that number of folks. If you don't, it's a tough call these days.

Will do Alex. I applied and I'll let you know if I'm accepted.

Yup. I hear you guys about price points. That's my biggest concern about doing MI shows is the economy but I move lots of stuff under $50 at all my shows. It's the $200 marble purchase that puts the icing on the cake. Thanks to all for the advice! .....especially boywhocriedwolf! It would be interesting to jury into some shows with some headies as "sculptures" I'm sure anyone with the talent to create these would be accepted as long as they don't look anything like water pipes.
