I have always looked at those torch jacks that wale, and abr supply. But they always seemed a little too pricey to justify having one. Well i was surfing the net today and came across these

I didnt pick one up since i built my bench to the right height last summer, but i figured someone here might like this. Here ya go

If you're not picky a patio stone will run you about 4 bucks. Drop it and you've got a two stage jack :)

My buddy Jeff makes these and they work amazing: http://theblastshield.com/jeffrogers.html

I haven't dropped the coin for one but my friend aaron has one for his delta and I think he'd be lost without it.

ah I got those old school spider web lookin stones 4 thick bout 12x12 . used 1 for the kiln just smacked it in places with hammer and set em out spaced under kiln . You can break em to size of torch base too .

but hey the 2 inch just get 2 halve them like you said and four stage up to 8 inch .

nice find sporky. initial impressions of this aren't that great, very thin flimsy metal. when i clamped it to my bench it bent, a lot. i'm going to attach a piece of wood to the side of my bench and screw threw the metal to the extra wood, that'll attach the back of the stand firmly, still not sure how to pin the front of it down firmly to my fancy tile. the action on it isn't too bad, really slow but smooth. it goes up the first 2-3 inches quick but after that it slows down a bit.

ill try to post again after i've had a chance to use it for a little while.
