Wotcher mate :-)

Look for 'Uriel' the sheep shagger, maybe you two can share notes; Uriel was looking for suppliers a couple of weeks ago.

I got started in UK before moving back here, I found everything incredibly expensive. I should have done a couple of courses to learn stuff earlier, instead I've taught myself from the available media and people passing through here ;0)

If you're close to Milton Keynes, Biochem Glass (Will Fludgate) used to do intro courses. It would be a good way to pick up the basics, learn about suppliers, well everything really.

Welcome to the forum and good luck.

Ill kick down and come have a taster session here,, im a hella lot more fun than oleBill..
Scene in the UK basically there isnt one, although I do make my living from flameworking.
There's plenty of potential to make a living as plenty of British softglass artists could tell ya.
funnily enough I did a demonstration at a flameoff event today with 8 or 10 torches avaliable for testing.
LOL I raged the guys Delta Mag :D

Yo guys thanks for tha warm welcome glad to be here. Been reading and watching alot. Also took Uriel up on his offer, there was glass and some tasty homemade jam tarts courtesy of Mrs Uriel. Had a great time and although I'll hopefully have my own set up in the near future I'm sure I'll be heading back to sunny Wales real soon.
