Anyone know how to get there obscure stuff aside from dealing direct?

A guy on ebay is selling something similar: Link. (http://cgi.ebay.com/Herbert-Arnold-ID-Chuck-for-use-on-bench-or-glass-lathe_W0QQitemZ160407712632QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_D efaultDomain_0?hash=item25590b7378)

Got an extra $1800?

Seems extremely expensive for a tool with limited applications....

damn, thats ridiculous, i cant believe dude payed that much. He said he paid 2 g's, thats how much a zenit cost two years ago. I sent arnold an email asking what the price was for that tool. I would rather make a tool for that much loot. Still, its pretty pimp. Thanks for the link

I think its mike fro selling it, says the seller is mind blowing glass. I know he went to germany and visited the arnold factory a few years back to do demos

i believe those are around 4-500. The ones that seal up, with a hollow handle to blow into are about twice that. Ive been wanting one for years, but it almost seems like i could get one machined for less. Maybe someday...

cool, i hope they are cheaper. I need something to hold large diameter tubing that is like 10 inches long. I'll let you know if I come up with any design ideas to make one at home.

The guy on ebay is the distro for Ha tools in the UK he's a bit of a rip off guys, You'd be better off stealing the design and getting one made up in a local tool shop.

All HA tools are well over priced for what they actually are, for that kinda $$ i'd expect it to be made from fucking outerspace metal and do the job for ya !

I have a similar holding tool that i got when i bought a lot of tools. Id part with them for $400 free shipping. I havent used these for anything (because my chucks hold this big of tubing) so they are just collecting dust. but it looks like it will hold 90-1?? mm tubing. They are decently heavy to conuterbalance the giant tubing you will be holding. PM me if you are interested. thanks

thanks for the help guys. Alfred, I already have those grabbers but appreciate the link. Doc, I like the tool, 400 bills is a little pricey even for a new one. I think I will try and fashion something myself since it doesn't look too complicated. I'll let you guys know what I come up with.
