Hello all, i just found out that I am expecting. Anyone out there know about still working while pregnant. I have good ventilation and will see the doc soon to ask more questions. Just wondering how everyone else handles this out there.
Thanks

people say if you just want to play with clear, the only other concern is radiant heat.

I think the radiant heat is the most problematic, other than bad ventilation. You can use those silver heat aprons. But the doctor didn't say anything was wrong with it. There are alot of moms who could not take 9+ months off of work cold turkey.

I believe that clear off gasses some kind of aluminum oxide. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. If that is true, good vent will take care of it.

my wife is pregnant, and blowing glass.. we talked to the doc, and she said that its no prob.. we have awesome ventilation, she quit fuming, and doesnt do anything big..( no tube pulls).. doesnt handle the color much, and washes her hands a lot..

It might help to bring the material safety data sheets (MSDS) to the doctor. They should be readily available from the manufacturers. Without them, I doubt a doctor will know what's in the glass and whether it should be avoided or not.

Here's the GA main MSDS page.
