Just moved to the SF bay area and looking to collaborate. I have a Carisle CC burner from the 1940's and nice glass technique and ideas.

If interested, send me an email and hopefully we can do some work together!

Sounds great. Im just working on setting up a studio in the Berkeley/ Oakland area. For all that the Bay Area has to offer I'm amazed at the lack of flameworking community, at least in the E. Bay and SF. I know several flameworkers around here but it doesn't seem like they interact much. Or maybe nobody invites me to the party :)

I'd love to change that and start up a nice lil' scene. Where are you located? I'm sending you a PM . . .

My girlfriend just got into a doctorate program in SF, so I guess I'm moving there this time next year. I'm not that keen on SF or Cali in general (too crowded) but I love my girl so I guess I'm leaving Colorado. I am psyched to be able to do some surfing though. Please keep me informed about what you find in the SF scene. I've heard there is cheap torch time available at a community college somewhere near SF.

There's a lot of hot glass in the SF Bay Area!

There are hot glass programs at SF State, San Jose State, and CCA(C) in Berkeley.

There are 2 not-for-profit glass schools here: Public Glass in SF, and BAGI in San Jose. Both do furnace, lamp, and kiln work.

There are many hot glass artists here; from bead makers, to pipe makers, to sculptors, to furnace workers, to ....

Drop me a line here in SJ if you need any more info.
