Hello all,
I am slowly getting back into glass again. I worked for and learned glass sculpture at Frabel Studios in Atlanta Ga. when I was in my late teens and early 20's. I moved away and got into construction to make a living. I was a superintendent up until last June. I then found out that I was being laid off and that I have an AVM of the brain in the same week. I had to find something to pass my time while I am going through these brain surgeries. Anyway, I have been working with boro, doing a lot of implosion and swirl pendants. I have also been trying my hand at soft glass too. Anyway, I just found this site. I am on LE also. I see that there are a lot of the same members. I am in New Jersey. Is there anyone that is in the near vicinity. That's it, I am just trying to meet others that are into glass like I am. I'll add a link to my AVM page if anyone is interested in knowing more about this.

Thanks a lot. I have an old National. It works pretty good. Only been back at the torch for a few months, so Im not up to date with all the new stuff. Learning a lot from places like this. Seems like a cool place to have found.

Hey Ian,
Thanks for the invite. I'm in North Jersey. I am having some procedures over the next few weeks, but I'd like to meet you and check out what you have going on. I saw the start of your website. Sounds really cool. Can't wait to see what you have. I'll keep in touch. So what type of stuff do you like doing the most? I seem to be on a implosion kick right now.

The place im at now is pretty much a new tec every week till i get it, high failure rate that way, but doors keep opening. I just changed the shop to a three torch set up, so people can come chill, do some collab's or just check out what other people are working on these days.

Stop down when you are back on your feet!

Thanks Ian, Sounds like a really cool atmosphere. I can't wait to get out there. When I was being taught glasswork, they were so secretive about all their knowledge. I love the way everyone nowadays are so open and free with everything. I'll let you know when I'm coming out.

Hi Dave, I wish I lived near you, sorry I'm in the completely wrong hemisphere. I wish you all the best with your surgeries. I'm also on LE.
