It seems like there is some controversy regarding the difference between “A” and “B” tickets, so allow me to set the record straight.

First of all, even if you have a “B” ticket, you will be able to get on a torch if you want to… everybody here is willing to share, and nobody is torching all of the time. There is so much more to this event than working on the torch, such as networking, learning from others, free food all week, and just having a great time in general with a bunch of other like minded people.

Just for the record, the main demonstration bench (with 2 work stations) is open for anyone to use after the demos are done for the day. Two of our guests (Mom and Seth Glass) go home at 5 or 6pm every night, and they let others use their torches when they leave… others do the same. We will probably set up a couple of outdoor benches that will be open to anyone who wants to use them.

We are not overloading the event with B tickets… there are only about 12 of them so it’s not like you’ll have 40 people trying to get in on 1 or 2 open spaces. Furthermore, we always have several people that cancel at the last minute, and you can upgrade to an A ticket (have your own work space) for the extra $100.00.

***We will not let AGI become to big… not now, not ever. The most people we’ve ever had was about 90, and we felt that may have been a few too many. We want to maintain the integrity of the event to keep it large enough where it’s worth attending, yet small enough to keep it personal where everyone has a chance to get to know each other and form solid relationships… Many lifelong relationships have been formed here. This is far more important to us than selling more tickets for the sake of making money.

There are only about 5 or 6 B tickets left, so come on down and celebrate the 10th anniversary of AGI and Glass Alchemy, and please let Elaine know if you want to be on the waiting list to upgrade your ticket : )

P.S. – The ticket price and all of your expenses are tax deductible since it is an educational event, and where else can you take a full 1 week vacation… including meals, camping, showers, etc… for $525.00? Not to mention a vacation that will improve your work, broaden your horizons, and expose you to so many of your peers, their work, and their techniques.
