Undo hypertext link changes

I noticed in the last couple of days the insert hypertext link does not allow you to edit the link name. It reflects the hypertext link, which may not always be clear what you are linking to. Will you please change this back to the original format.

When I use the "insert hypertext" button, it prompts me for the web address I'd like to link to. Upon clicking "OK", the code to link to that address is inserted into the reply box, with the anchor text highlighted (which defaults to the web address you entered in the first place). Also, I haven't changed anything in the last few days :)

Someone has changed the way HL are parsed, you no longer have the ability to Name links .............. Yes I know exactly what to do but the parseing engine will no longer allow you to name links, it now takes what ever the URL is and makes the Name of the link identical. Please take something like www.talkglass.com (http://www.talkglass.com) and rename it "The Place" using your editor. I tried inserting the markup language manually to no avail. And no the markup language is no longer inserted into the editor box just the link................

Yeah like that but I do not get any markup language like I used to, simply a link...........

If you just type:


[ url=www.talkglass.com ]The Place[ /url ]

without the extra spaces, it should work fine.

Thanks Cosmo, I tried that the other day.............. Would not have posted a request if I had not exhausted all of my other venues................

Works now, did not work when I tried it a couple of days ago, parser just kept reparseing HL.............

Works now, thanks to whoever (or whichever Gremlin) fixed it...................

Ok what is up with this post : Links sure do not work like intended. I am sure you can see what i have tried to enter and what the parser keeps giving me................

problem solved i take it....sorry about the trouble, byron. we didn't change anything on our end. only thing i can think of is that some rooms here work differently for security reasons, and maybe you were posting in one of those. let us know if you need more help.

Thanks Misha, nice to see you back around.

Honestly I have found out what is up, I changed my option for editor in the user CP from Standard Interface to Enhanced Interface. Now that I have changed it back the problem is resolved and instead of getting just the HL, I now get editable markup language for the link.

Thanks for looking into it, should it ever occur in the future we will both know what is up.

Ahh I see....yeah that would do it too lol. What do you mean back around? I never went anywhere. Vacation seems to be one of those unheard of things in glassland lol.
