I've lived in Redding for my whole life, and love my home town. There is two lakes and two mountains... Hundreds of miles of hiking, biking and river fun. Lots of trees and forest. The spring and fall are about as perfect as it gets when it comes to a bit more wooded area. The winters are pretty good too, not too cold and rainy(although we could of used more this year)& maybe one day of decent snow fall every other year. The only draw backs are the 110* summer days and even up to 114* is possible occasionally, so if your not out in the protection of the trees you will need to have shade/AC for sure during the summer. There are good restaurants, bars and hidden places to eat. Lots of stuff for the kids to do and the parents also...oh and a couple dance clubs for those type people too. There are fun events like the Kool April Nights Car Show that bring people in from far away to enjoy our town for the weekend and much more...

But yeah... I'd say that if you like a good balance of nature & city that its a good place to be. You can find a place on the outskirts and be totally alone in the woods or in town or anywhere between for whichever type scene you prefer...

And when you have the ones you love most around you, like I'm very fortunate enough to have with my wonderful fiancé (Love You Sweetness:blowkiss:) then it is a very easy place to happily call home.

Actually, I do. We're going to storage in Roseville today to bring it back along with other shop things I might not need. I'll be around next week if you want to have a look at it.
