What's the advantage of a telescoping carb?

I don't understand the benefit of a pipe with a telescoping carb....Do they have down stems? What's the main advantage? Thanks

snorkel carb?So the carb can be almost at the top of the water line yet not spill out and makes it so you can clear it all.

that, plus the (rather large) ergonomical improvement they offer. snorkel carbs or bust IMO

i always put snorkle carbs below the water line...that way it clears all the smoke and still bubbles...i like that way better so it doesnt feel like a dry hit...
