I dunno, I think it would work fine assuming the vent is functioning properly. PE is good to pretty low temps, and the vent shouldn't be running long enough to freeze up - if it does it's not working right and should be repaired/replaced.

There are other options tho, from the ghetto coffee can full of choreboy to commercial vent silencers made for cryogenic tanks that run about $300.

oh, but they're only good up to 150psi... so wouldn't work on anything above a 135psi vent... nevermind.
