Sad to hear that Bird isn't around anymore. He was always one of my heroes.
YEEEEEEHAW and pipemaker were 2 of the best "against the grain goin' troublemakers" I can remember from the old days. They really kept things spiced up. Sad to hear they are on leave too. I also remember lots of good conversations with Josh Sable too. He's gone as well? :(
I haven't been "back" enough to figure out who is here and gone these days.

What about Craven (Jason Howard) and Pan (Chris Rice, CNY Glass, etc...) are they still around?

On a personal note for the few of you who remember me, here's what I've been up to:

I got divorced
I moved
I have a sweet girlfriend (who came complete with a 3 year old girl) :twitch:
I cut off my 9 year old dreads
I got glasses :nerd2:
I drive only Subarus now
I still make simple glass and some mid-grade almost nice work too.

I had to drop the forum cold turkey a few years ago because I spent about 12 hours a day on this forum and only like 12 hours a week blowing glass.
I just couldn't pull myself away from the damn computer, so I abandoned my moderator duties and jumped ship.

Lately I have been reading up on some old threads, and am trying to ease myself slowly back in to this world. It's great to "hear some of your voices" again.

Lots of people I enjoyed communicating with are still here, and many have left. What can I expect, it has been a few years now.
Now I'm trying to catch up on all the new techniques and products in the industry that have popped up in the last few years.

Hello and Happy Holiday's everyone,
I have not posted here in a LONG time but i found this board when it was on page 2(when Kristian was basically talking to himself)I stopped posting a couple of years ago when it had become a constant bitching forum.I also was spending to much time on the computer and not enough time on work....so i became a lurker.My lurking days are over though and i plan on becoming an active member again.
For those of you who don't know me i live in central PA and have been working glass since 1999.I began my career in Humboldt county CA than moved out here.I am blessed to have been able to support my family only from glass and i give credit to this board and the many wonderful people i have met from this forum.I have learned many aspects of glass and buisness from the help of those who post here and i will be sharing my knowledge to help anyone who needs it.
To update those of you who remember me i will run down some things that have happened in my
life .
1.I bought a house closer to town on 11 acres with a shop in my garage next to the woodstove that heats the entire house(I worked in an uninsulated tool shed for 4 yrs previous).Now i work in a tshirt in the artic PA winter.
2.I have been working hard and spending time with my family and enjoying my home and freedom.
3.I got arrested in Jan of 2004 for selling herb in 2000(4 felony charges).I was looking at 7 yrs in the state pen so i took there plea bargain and did 6 months in the County jail 10 mins from my house.They also let me do work release at my home shop .Major learning experience.
4.I got released Dec 20 and have been relaxing at home enjoying the holidays with family and friends.
5.I am starting back to work tomorrow.
I will be posting more of my work soon ,as i got a great digi camera for xmas(Nikon coolpix5600)
It has a great macro feature and i would highly recommend it.Last but not least a big shout out to Kristian,Bosco,Wonka,Brettodie,Sexual harrasment Panda,Pan,Jayglass and all the old schoolers whose names i forgot

Harp, yes it is my friend Papa Bears kiln.As i understand Clinton and him made 10 of these when PB was living in Oregon.How did you know?Do you have one also?It's a great kiln.I use it for annealing my tubes and larger pieces.The small Aim is my old(6 years) work horse.The lathe is PB's also and is a circa 72' Bethlehem. :bouncy: Nodge :bouncy:
