Fuming alternatives and additions?

All i do is fume work with boro and I am trying to progress my style. Has anyone had any luck with brush on applications...ie the lusters, silver bromide, silver nitrate, or precious metal clay stuff? And has anyone had any success encasing any other metals or tried chemical vapour deposition of any types of metals on borosillicate? I haven't tried any of these, but am starting some research any information will be greatly appreciated as it will surely save me some time and money. thankyou.
