Why not send some beads? The attachment is the submission form.

"Hello Fellow Artists!

This is a friendly reminder (that some of you asked me to send) about the Toledo Museum of Art’s ‘Bead Goes On Project’. If you have already submitted some beads, then thank you so much!!! If you haven’t and are still willing to participate, don’t worry, there is still plenty of time!

So far we have received thousands of beads from all over the world, (Even as far away as Australia). Many are from well-known artists such as you who want to be a part of what will become a permanent display in TMA’s new Glass Pavilion. We have also received beads from all walks of life including: elementary schools, high schools, juvenile detention kids, Alzheimer patients, autistic children, hobbyists, art lovers, blind children & adults, local TV reporters, and even the Mayor of Toledo! The beads are all different shapes, sizes and different materials, from glass to felt, ceramic to metal, polymer clay and wood…even found objects like spare change and recycled plastic and metal parts!

But we still have a ways to go. We have finished the first panel and will be starting the second one very soon. That means that we still need thousands more interesting and awesome beads. So, if you are still interested in donating some beads, we will be super excited to receive them!

If you know any groups or individuals that would like to participate in this project then please suggest that they check it out on our website: www.toledomuseum.org . Click events & activities, then go to Community Art Projects for more information and photos of the work in progress.

Thanks again for all the support!
